my confusion of languages got me into a trouble tonite when my frens and i went out for dinner at Nathan's corner somewhere OUG. Everytime we went out for lunch or dinner, i would usually order nasi goreng ayam. I was looking at the menu and i saw this "chicken fried rice" in the list, so i told the guy who took our order that i wantd ' nasi ayam goreng'. he looked so confused then i realized it was supposed to be nasi goreng ayam, not nasi ayam goreng, so i said " i want chicken fried rice" as in english. well, it's the same thing anyway rite.
and then here come the food.. the guy said " ok ini chicken fried rice ".. Jess and I has just started eating when he came to our table again with another plate and said, ini "nasi goreng ayam", Me: "?? who ordered this" i askd my frens, coz all of us got our foods alredi, and then the guy said "tadi order nasi goreng ayam kan"... waduhhh, my frens were looking at me, i could see their funny expressions, i knw they wer trying so hard not to laugh. to avoid any further arguments i just asked him to 'tapau' it. After he went to attend another table, we were laughing so hard. Lorna and I was curious, so we checked the menu again and found out nasi goreng ayam and chicken fried rice s two different menus hahahaha..
stephen said, next time never order food in two languages. b4 dat, I ordered "lemon ais teh" and then told him again that it's "ice lemon tea", TG, he gave me teh ais limau only haha..
