passing by

I was on the way to go to the ladies room when i saw one of my colleagues walking towards the same direction, so i asked her where she's heading, and she told me that she was on the way to see the higher officer to apply for posting.

curious, i asked her why since i think our place now is quite convenient for her to come to work.

she paused for a few seconds, her expression telling me that i shudnt askd her abt it, i thought she wont answer my question and then with a slow and low voice she told me, she didnt askd for it but was askd to apply. just out of curiousity, i asked her why, and then she told me that 'they' dont like her, and also her boss doesnt like her.

a bit surprised, i askd if she knw the reason and she said, she was not really sure.

She's been there for just a month or a few weeks if im not mistaken and she's a quiet person. She's in late 30's i think and she's a bit shy, friendly but not really talkative unless you talk to her first.whenever i come to her place i saw her doing her works quietly and didnt really mix with the other staff in that department.

Ive never heard her talking bad things or gossiping about the people around her.. i didnt really believe it at first when she told me that. well, i was not with her all the time so i cant really comment on this, but what i knw, she's sweet and a kind person. even before she came to work there, i alredi heard a few unkind remarks about her ,maybe they prefer someone who is 'noisy' and good at gossiping. I looked at her and I told her " dont be sad, im sure you are wanted and needed somewhere, if they dont like you, it's ok, im sure you too dont want to be around with people who dont like you ". well maybe it's hurt her pride for now and she may feel rejected, but in the long run, it's good for her. and again i said to her, " you dont want people who dont want you". umhh.. mbe not so true in christian's perspective hehe, but it's true, you cant force them to like you, and do you want to be around with ppl who dont like/want you ?. yeah i know what's in ur mind now, it's really hard to understand Jesus's love for us rite.. hmm i guess you have ur own standing.

I try to remind myself everyday about these everytime i met annoying dingbats, but those who knw me very well knew tht i could be very rude and direct sometimes, not that im enjoying doing that, but if you cross the line then maybe i need to remind you that im not all the time 'the sweet hness' you know(sweet? ahakss ). wellllll.. it's not a threat, i think everybody basically have that attitude, dont u think? hehe..

anwya, i dunno what happened to her after that, and have no idea where she would be transferred but i want to wish her all the best and hopefully she would be transferred to a place where people would appreciate her.
